Hello Team,

Attending the recent USSS Committee Sessions and the Eastern Educational Conference was incredibly inspiring, and I’m excited to share some new professional development initiatives that came out of it.

Starting Thursday, October 23, we’ll begin a series of virtual training sessions via Zoom featuring guest speakers. Sessions will typically take place Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM, lasting about 30 minutes. This series will run through the start of the holiday week, with plans to resume after the holidays. We will record and share these sessions.

Sam Damon, (former USSS Eastern Region Alpine Director, and current Executive Director of BRASS and New Hampshire Alpine Racing Association youth development coach coordinator) will join us for Oct 30. At the conference Sam had some amazing content that he will be sharing with us.

In addition, I’ll be leading on-site training at Windham every Saturday or Sunday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, beginning November 15 and continuing until the start of our program. More information will follow soon, including topics, Zoom links, and schedules.

I also connected with Doug Hammond to coordinate and identify trainers who can address our specific needs during the Windham Mountain Academy sessions on December 20–21. We’ll have a dedicated trainer working directly with our team on our schedule during those dates.

I’m genuinely excited about the potential of this initiative and the value it will bring to our program, our staff, and our athletes. Thank you all for your continued commitment and engagement.

Best,
Sean Warman
