Update on Parent Email Communication

Program communication is typically sent to the email address provided at registration. If you’d like messages to go to more than one email, the registering parent can set up email auto-forwarding to automatically share updates with additional recipients.

Below are the Step-by-step instructions for setting up auto-forwarding on major email platforms:

To automatically forward ProCard emails to another address:

Gmail 

  1. Open Gmail on your computer.
  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) > See all settings.
  3. Go to the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab.
  4. In the “Forwarding” section, click “Add a forwarding address”.
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
  6. Click Next > Proceed > OK.
  7. A confirmation email will be sent to that address. Open it and click the confirmation link.
  8. Go back to Gmail settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  9. Select “Forward a copy of incoming mail to…” and choose what to do with the Gmail copy (keep, archive, delete, etc.).
  10. Click Save Changes.

Yahoo Mail

  1. Go to Yahoo Mail and sign in.
  2. Click the Settings icon (⚙️) > More Settings.
  3. Select Mailboxes.
  4. Under Mailbox list, click your email account.
  5. Scroll to the Forwarding section.
  6. Enter the forwarding address and click Verify.
  7. A confirmation email will be sent. Click the link to verify.
  8. Save changes.

Outlook.com 

  1. Go to https://outlook.live.com and sign in.
  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right > View all Outlook settings.
  3. Go to Mail > Forwarding.
  4. Check “Enable forwarding”.
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
  6. Optional: Check “Keep a copy of forwarded messages”.
  7. Click Save.

Microsoft Outlook 

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click File > Manage Rules & Alerts.
  3. In the Email Rules tab, click New Rule.
  4. Choose “Apply rule on messages I receive” > Next.
  5. (Optional) Choose specific conditions or leave unchecked to apply to all messages.
  6. Check “forward it to people or public group”.
  7. Click “people or public group”, enter the forwarding address, then click OK.
  8. Click Next, set any exceptions if needed.
  9. Name the rule and make sure it’s turned on.
  10. Click Finish > Apply.
